Individual singing classes are available for students from the age of 8 upwards.  A variety of styles is on offer ranging from jazz and pop to traditional and classical. Students are coached on the different techniques used for vocal training including posture, diaphramatic breathing, mouth positioning, clear tone production, tuning, intonation, phrasing and expression. They are exposed to a broad repertoire within their preferred styles and the classes are designed to impart confidence and provide a positive and enriching experience. Tuition is available for those learning for fun and also students preparing for exams.

Weekly classes are 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length depending on the proficiency level of the student. Examinations covered include the Royal Irish Academy of Music (held in Dun Laoghaire School of Music), the Associated of the Royal Schools of Music and the London College of Music. In-house exams are also available.

As a voice student at Dun Laoghaire School of Music you will enjoy ample performance opportunities including in-house concerts or concerts in theatres outside of the school.
